Fiona Otway has worked in film and video for ten years as a director, producer, shooter, editor, and media instructor. Her background includes a degree from Hampshire College (Amherst, MA), where she studied media arts and social change, with a special emphasis on community development and international issues. Her media work has been featured in various local, national, and international film festivals and television broadcasts. Fiona was recently awarded the first-ever prize for 'Best Editing' at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival for her work on Iraq in Fragments, which was also nominated for an Academy Award in 2007. She also did editing work on a short documentary called Sari's Mother, which was nominated for an Academy Award in 2008.
