FIONA OTWAY has been making videos for thirteen years, working as a director, producer, shooter, editor, and media instructor. Her background includes a degree from Hampshire College (Amherst, MA), where she studied media arts and social change, with a special emphasis on community development and international issues. Her media work has been featured in hundreds of local, national, and international film festivals and television broadcasts. Fiona was recently awarded the first-ever prize for 'Best Editing' at Sundance Film Festival for her work on Iraq in Fragments, which was also nominated for an Academy Award. In addition, she did editing work on a short documentary called Sari's Mother, which was also nominated for an Academy award. > |
